Utterly Un-inspired!
This just had to be the day when I thought of writing something after what feels like a century! It's a day of no story at all. No rhythm around or within. I tried standing out in the terrace to feel the wind. But even that had no scent. Where did all the stars go? Only city lights swim past my car window. An overwhelming variety of colors forming liquid figures. A choked up drizzle blurred my vision alright, but didn't soak through my hair enough to touch my soul. Humph! All I can think of at this hour of the night is if I were to start a new painting, I will begin with an old wooden bridge. How utterly uninspiring!!

Good to have you back .. You and your writing were being sorely missed ..
It might only seem dry but there's a million possibilities that an old wooden bridge might bring up :)
Cheers to life !

You have been missed a lot ... i would agree
But for me at times it is the form it is what you are / feelings are which will never change
Might sound unconnected but one ghazal which i am reminded by your post is
"ye dil ye paagal dil meraa kyo.n bujha gayaa aavaaragii
is dasht me.n ik shahar thaa vo kyaa huaa aavaaragii
kal shab mujhe be-shakl sii aavaaz ne chau.Nkaa diyaa
mai.n ne kahaa tuu kaun hai us ne kahaa aavaaragii
ik tuu ki sadiyo.n se mere ham_raah bhiii ham_raaz bhii
ik mai.n ki tere naam se naa_aashnaa aavaaragii
ye dard kii tanhaa_iyaa.N ye dasht kaa viiraa.N safar
ham log to uktaa gaye apanii sunaa aavaaragii
ik ajanabii jho.nke ne jab puuchhaa mere Gam kaa sabab
saharaa kii bhiiigii ret par mai.n ne likhaa aavaaragii
le ab to dasht-e-shab kii saariii vusate.n sone lagii.n
ab jaaganaa hogaa hame.n kab tak bataa aavaaragii
kal raat tanhaa chaa.Nd ko dekhaa thaa mai.n ne Khvaab me.n
'Mohsin' mujhe raas aayegii shaayad sadaa aavaaragii
[Mohsin=beneficient/generous; raas aanaa - to like] "
kahin ja ke kuch bhi ho aawargi saath rehti hai ... chahe kitna bhi waqt guzar jaye
@M
Thanks M! Glad to note that I am being missed * As sadistic it may sound* Thank you for the read and the frequent visit
@freefalling -

happy birthday ... and have a great year
Hey Bar,
A request from my side.
Write something abt the desert in and around BITS. But there's a catch. It's gotta be positive, that too by virtue of the description alone, not the peepz or events.
Game?

You write well... keep writing more.
@ Cribber - Thank you :)
